Manchester City will look to continue their impressive run of form when they welcome Sunderland to the Etihad Stadium, with the visitors facing a difficult challenge against a side that has started the campaign strongly.

The Black Cats marked their return to European competition after 53 years with a 1-0 victory over AZ Alkmaar in their opening Europa League fixture.
Enzo Le Fee made amends for his penalty miss against Arsenal the previous weekend by converting from the spot in the second half to secure Sunderland's third successive 1-0 home victory in all competitions. They had previously defeated Fulham in the Premier League and Hull City in the EFL Cup by the same scoreline.
Head coach Regis Le Bris admitted that his players looked tired following their 2-0 defeat against Arsenal, but he was delighted with their response against AZ. Sunderland showed considerable determination to claim all three points in front of their home supporters.
Their attention now turns back to the Premier League, where Sunderland have collected four points from their opening four matches. They have recorded one victory, one draw and two defeats and are still searching for their first away win of the campaign.

Manchester City will be without Phil Foden, who is serving the second match of a three-game suspension following his red card in the Manchester derby.
Jeremy Doku could return to the squad after recovering from a calf injury that has kept him out for six matches. However, he is unlikely to be rushed straight into the starting XI.
Iliman Ndiaye and Antoine Semenyo could therefore start in the wide attacking positions, while Maresca is expected to restore several regular starters after rotating his squad against Norwich.
Erling Haaland should return to lead the attack. Sunderland are the only one of the 25 Premier League opponents he has faced against whom the Norwegian has yet to score.
For Sunderland, Habib Diarra and Romaine Mundle remain sidelined with thigh and knee injuries respectively. Reinildo Mandava is also unavailable after being sent off during the defeat to Arsenal.
