Chelsea will look to maintain their perfect start to the new season when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion, with both sides heading into the contest full of confidence after impressive opening-week results.
Chelsea endured a difficult Premier League campaign last season, finishing 10th after going through two managerial changes in the space of four months. Enzo Maresca left the club on New Year's Day following a breakdown in his relationship with the ownership, despite previously guiding the Blues to success in the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup.
Liam Rosenior was brought in from Strasbourg as his replacement, but his spell lasted only around three months before he was dismissed on April 22. Chelsea ultimately missed out on European football for the first time since the 2022-23 season.

Brighton could be without Jack Hinshelwood after the midfielder picked up a training injury that ruled him out of the victory over Tromso.
Matt O'Riley is expected to be among the leading candidates to replace him if he fails to recover in time.
Georginio Rutter is another doubt after wearing a protective boot since the victory over Aston Villa. If he is unavailable, Charalampos Kostoulas or new loan signing Promise David could be asked to lead the attack.
Brighton will also continue without several long-term absentees, including Yankuba Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma, Stefanos Tzimas and Evan Ferguson.
